The statement of M.E., the suspect who severely injured dentist Mehmet Emrah Düşmez by shooting him in the head with a gun in the Konak district of İzmir, has emerged. It has been revealed that M.E. shot the dentist because he learned from a DNA test that he was the biological father of the dentist's two children from his ex-wife, whom he had previously worked with.

THE ARGUMENT TURNED INTO A FIGHT
M.E., who had a feud with Mehmet Emrah Düşmez, a dentist working at a dental health center in his apartment on Ali Çetinkaya Boulevard in Alsancak Culture Neighborhood, came to Düşmez's apartment. The argument that broke out between the two turned into a fight. M.E. fired a gun at Düşmez's head.

M.E. then took Düşmez's phone, recorded a video of him in blood, sent it to his mother, and fled. The mother, seeing her son had been shot, reported the situation to the police. Following the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. After the first intervention by the medical staff at the scene, Düşmez was taken to Alsancak Nevvar Salih İşgören State Hospital. It was reported that Düşmez's condition remained serious. İzmir Police Department's Public Order Branch teams captured and detained the suspect, M.E., in the Basmane district.
THEY HAD A JOINT BUSINESS 10 YEARS AGO
Details about the incident have started to emerge. M.E., who was detained, stated during his interrogation at the police station that they had a joint business of dental materials and vehicle rental 10 years ago, and claimed that Düşmez had defrauded him, which led to a feud over a debt between them.
THE DENTIST TURNED OUT TO BE THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER OF HIS CHILDREN
M.E. also stated in his testimony that he learned about a romantic relationship between his ex-wife and Mustafa Emrah Düşmez two years ago and divorced her. He claimed that he had a DNA test done on suspicion four months ago and found out that the biological father of his two children, aged 7 and 9, from his ex-wife was also Düşmez. M.E. said he learned this through the DNA test, adding, "After that, I shot Düşmez. I couldn't contain my anger and recorded a video and sent it to my mother."
