A heartbreaking detail has emerged regarding 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death at the Kadıköy Flea Market. His father, the famous Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi, stated that Mattia wanted to donate his organs, but this could not happen due to the severe injuries he sustained. Father Minguzzi expressed, "These monsters harmed my son so much that the doctors said, 'We can't use them.'"

An indictment has been prepared regarding those who stabbed and killed Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in the market in Kadıköy, Istanbul, on January 24. A prison sentence of 18 to 24 years has been requested for 2 suspects.

One of the suspects is 16 and the other is 15 years old, and since they are under 18, they cannot be tried for aggravated life imprisonment. Ahmet's family is also demanding that the suspects receive the heaviest punishment and not benefit from any reductions.

"THEY SHOULD MAKE A NEW LAW IN AHMET'S NAME"

Speaking to NTV, father Minguzzi stated that he respects the law, saying, "Let this be a threshold for everyone for Ahmet. We couldn't save Ahmet, but I will do whatever I can to save other children. They should make a new law in Ahmet's name. But let it be an example, let it be an example for the future. Ahmet is gone, unfortunately, he will not come back," he expressed.

"THEY SAY A FIGHT BROKE OUT, I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS"

Ahmet's father, Italian chef Andre Minguzzi, stated that the suspects' claims in the indictment that "they insulted us" are also not true, saying, "I heard in the news that they say 'a fight broke out,' there was a conflict. I do not accept this. I only see a victimized side." he stated.

"EVEN HIS CORNEA COULD NOT BE TRANSPLANTED DUE TO INFECTION"

Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi fought for survival for 2 weeks after being injured. When brain death occurred, his family donated his organs to save other lives, but the organs could not be taken. Because the 15-year-old boy was severely injured in the attack. Even his cornea could not be transplanted due to infection.

"THESE MONSTERS HARMED MY SON"

Explaining that they wanted to donate organs, the father said, "It was a difficult decision, of course, but we signed and accepted. Because Ahmet should live. But unfortunately, these monsters harmed my son so much that the doctors said 'we cannot use them.' It was another shock, an endless pain," he said.

STATEMENTS OF CHILDREN LED TO CRIME

In the indictment, U.B, who provided a statement, said he is 15 years old, that he saw B.B. stab Minguzzi 5-6 times, and that he did not stab anyone but kicked while Minguzzi was on the ground. B.B., in his defense, claimed that Minguzzi insulted his mother and sister, and that he stabbed him because he was provoked.

According to the autopsy report obtained from the Forensic Medicine Institution, it was recorded that Minguzzi had 3 sharp force injuries on his body and a penetrating injury on his chest, and the cause of death was due to internal organ injuries related to the sharp force attack. Additionally, it was noted that the suspects were clearly identified in the reviewed camera footage.

The indictment stated that U.B. kicked Minguzzi, while B.B. stabbed him multiple times with a knife he took from the counter, and requested that both suspects be sentenced to 18 to 24 years in prison for the crime of "intentional killing of a child." The prepared indictment was sent to the Anadolu Children's Heavy Criminal Court for evaluation.
