The fire, which is ongoing in the districts of Karşıyaka, Bayraklı, and Çiğli in Izmir, has reached the houses. Footage from the region showed that the flames spread to the roofs of some houses and approached residential areas. While 16 houses turned into ashes, numerous houses, businesses, and neighborhoods, as well as 900 citizens, were evacuated. Providing information about the current situation, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated, "There were 72 fires, and as of now, 69 of them are under control. There are 6 active fires."

Forest fires, which have been effective in the districts of Karşıyaka, Bayraklı, and Çiğli in İzmir, have reached residential areas. Forest fires that broke out in Boyalı and Kayacık neighborhoods of Gördes district in Manisa on August 14 continue to spread due to the steep structure of the region and the wind. SHEPHERD AND FARM OWNER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Police teams, who examined the security camera footage in the region, determined that the shepherd M. A. started the fire. M. A., who was taken into custody, said in his statement to the police, "The owner of the livestock farm, B. Ö., asked me to set the bushes on fire to clear the grazing area for the sheep. The fire broke out as a result of me setting the bushes on fire with a lighter." After M. A.'s statement, B. Ö. was also taken into custody. It was reported that the procedures of the 2 suspects at the police station are ongoing.
