Juventus' Title Hopes Fading After Shocking Home Loss

13.02.2024 02:42

Udinese beat 2nd place Juventus 1 0 in Turin; Inter Milan, who have game in hand, leading Italian Serie A by 7 points.

Juventus' title bid in the Italian football division was hurt after visitors Udinese took an unexpected 1-0 win in Turin on Monday.

Udinese's Argentine defender Lautaro Giannetti scored the winner in the 25th minute at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus have 53 points in 24 matches to be still in second spot.

They are only a point ahead of third-place AC Milan.

Inter Milan, who have a game in hand, are leading the Italian Serie A by seven points.

Udinese are in the lower ranks with 22 points.

On Feb. 4, Inter took firm control of the Serie A title race against Juventus with a 1-0 victory in the Derby d'Italia held at Milan's Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

In the remainder of the 2023-24 Serie A season, Inter and Juventus will not meet again.

Inter last won the Serie A in the 2020-21 campaign.

It was 2020 when Juventus last secured the Scudetto. -
