Following the "absolute nullity" decision issued by the court, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP General Chairmanship, clarified what stance his close allies in parliament would take if any potential official reports concerning deputies close to Özgür Özel's administration were submitted to the assembly. Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "Personally, if such a claim is made regarding me, I would request the lifting of my immunity."

Responding to questions on Sözcü TV's live broadcast, Kılıçdaroğlu clarified how deputies close to him would behave if potential reports regarding deputies close to Özgür Özel's administration were brought to the Parliament. Kılıçdaroğlu stated, 'Personally, if there is such a claim regarding me, I would request the removal of my immunity.'
'THE ARREST OF DEMİRTAŞ WAS WRONG, BUT I AM NOT REGRETFUL'
Kılıçdaroğlu, when reminded that former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş was arrested after supporting the lifting of immunities in the past, and asked 'Are you regretful?', gave the following answer: 'No. Your own party made a decision at the congress regarding the removal of immunities. You cannot oppose that. Was Mr. Selahattin arrested? That was wrong. I have said this everywhere. You may or may not agree with his political views, but I have always opposed the arrest of a person due to their thoughts.'
At the end of his statements, Kılıçdaroğlu added that he currently does not have parliamentary immunity as a deputy.
