Former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded to claims that he would "establish a new party" after the rejection of the absolute nullity case by saying, "It's all nonsense." People close to Kılıçdaroğlu also stated that they would not leave the party, but rather would support it even more, expressing, "We have no plans to continue in politics."
After the rejection of the request to annul the 38th Ordinary and 21st Extraordinary Congresses of the CHP, it was claimed that former party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and CHP members close to him would establish a new party.
"COMPLETELY NONSENSE"
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded briefly and clearly to the claims of a new party. Speaking to Nefes writer Aytunç Erkin, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the claim was "completely nonsense."
Former CHP Ankara Deputy Bülent Kuşoğlu, who is close to Kılıçdaroğlu, also stated that the rumors of a new party were not true, saying, "Would we leave the party? On the contrary, we need to support it more than ever. We see the difficulties both from within and outside, and we believe it is time to support the party even more."
"WE HAVE NO POLITICAL ASPIRATIONS"
Kuşoğlu said that if the court had made a decision of 'absolute nullity', former CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu would have accepted the position, stating:
We have no plans to continue in politics. Neither does Mr. Kemal. If absolute nullity were the case, he would have worked for a term. We have no political aspirations. Intellectual work will continue. We are in a period of change in the world, and everyone needs to do something.
