Following the death of singer Güllü, who fell from the window of her sixth-floor apartment in Yalova, her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu's lawyer filed a criminal complaint, stating that their clients have been targeted through statements made on social media and television.
The lawyer of Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, the daughter of singer Güllü, who fell from the window of her apartment on the 6th floor in Yalova and lost her life, and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, filed a criminal complaint against those who made statements on social media and television programs, violating their personal rights.
While the investigation into Güllü's death, who fell from the window of her apartment on the 6th floor of a 6-story building on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district at around 01:30 on September 26, is ongoing, the lawyer of the singer's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu filed a criminal complaint regarding the broadcasts made on social media and some television programs. In the statement made, it was noted that individuals with no connection to the issue were conveying false information about the incident through visual and social media and appearing on television programs, and it was expressed that a criminal complaint was filed regarding the 'lynch attempt against Tuğyan and Sultan.'
'IT HAS TURNED INTO A LYNCH CAMPAIGN AND AN ASSASSINATION OF REPUTATION' In a written statement following her criminal complaint to the Yalova Courthouse, lawyer Merve Uçanok stated, "As is known to the public, the famous singer Güllü (Gül Tut) lost her life as a result of a tragic accident on 26.09.2025 after falling from her residence in Çınarcık, Yalova. The death of the deceased due to this tragic incident has caused deep sorrow, especially among our clients and throughout our country. Although it is natural for various visual, written, and social media outlets to publish related content due to the deceased being a public figure, for about a month now, a disinformation process has been ongoing in various media outlets and social media regarding our client Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who is the daughter of the deceased, and her spiritual daughter Sultan Nur Ulu, which is completely contrary to the truth and the evidence in the case. This situation has turned into a veritable lynch campaign and an assassination of reputation against our clients. It has been observed that individuals with no connection to the issue are trying to gain attention by going from channel to channel in visual and social media, distorting the legal process and the truth in their statements. In this process, publications made solely for the sake of views and clicks, which are detached from material reality, have affected the ongoing judicial investigation and violated our clients' right to demand respect for their private lives, as well as causing irreparable harm to the spiritual world of our clients, who are already in great pain and mourning after losing their mother. Like every individual, it makes it impossible for them to grieve and continue their daily lives in a healthy manner."
'THIRD PARTIES TRYING TO GAIN FAME SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN ATTENTION' In the statement requesting the cessation of any publication mentioning Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu regarding Güllü's death, it was stated, "We kindly request the public to respect the pain of our clients, who have lost their mothers at such a young age, and to approach the process from a moral and legal perspective. It is necessary to stop all publications that attack our clients' presumption of innocence and personal rights, and not to give attention to third parties trying to gain fame through the incident. For this purpose, we have made the necessary legal applications, and we inform that if similar publications continue and our clients' personal rights are violated, all legal rights of our clients will be exercised."
