In the Kabataş district of Ordu, Mehmet Yetişken (80) shot and killed Mustafa Turan Çalışıcı (70), with whom he had a feud due to a land dispute. The incident occurred in the Acısuyu area of Alankent neighborhood in Kabataş district. A dispute broke out between Mehmet Yetişken and Mustafa Turan Çalışıcı, who had been at odds for a long time due to the land disagreement. During the escalating argument, Yetişken fired at Çalışıcı with a gun. Upon notification from the surrounding people, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Injured Mustafa Turan Çalışıcı was taken to Aybastı State Hospital.
MURDER SUSPECT CAUGHT WITH THE WEAPON
Çalışıcı, who was taken for treatment, could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors. After the incident, Mehmet Yetişken, who fled, was caught and detained at the house of his friend B.K. with the weapon used in the crime, thanks to the efforts of the Fatsa Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) and the Kabataş Central Police Station.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
