In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the lyrics of Fatih Karaca's song "Perperişan" are of a nature that incites sexual desire, contains erotic connotations, and poses a danger in terms of protecting children. The sharing of the song on social media without any age restrictions was also considered an aggravated form of the offense. A prison sentence of 6 months to 3 years was requested for Karaca.
The investigation regarding the claim that the lyrics of the song 'Perperişan' by singer Mabel Matiz contain obscene descriptions and pose a danger to children due to the lack of age restrictions has been completed. The prepared indictment requests that Mabel Matiz be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison.
In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the lyrics of the song 'Perperişan', belonging to the suspect Karaca, indirectly incite sexual desire, create erotic associations with bodily and mental metaphors, and include descriptions aimed at sexual intercourse, which can be easily understood by everyone.
IT WAS STATED THAT THE LYRICS POSE A DANGER IN TERMS OF PROTECTING CHILDREN
The indictment stated that this song was publicly shared on social media with the consent and approval of the suspect, and that it was published openly, with no age restrictions applied to the broadcasts made through this digital platform, thus posing a danger in terms of public order and the protection of children.
Especially when looking at the integrity of meaning of these two sentences, it was reported that the suspect's defense was not sufficient.
The indictment also noted that the publication on platforms accessible to children contributed to the qualified nature of the crime attributed to the suspect Karaca. Although the suspect claimed in his statement that he did not accept the accusations against him and said that he used the phrase 'diyo şeytan üstüne atla da sal kuşu hanesine' in the sense of sending a message to the home of the person he loves, it was recorded that the suspect's defense was not sufficient when considering the entirety of the song and especially the integrity of meaning of these two sentences.
REQUEST FOR UP TO 3 YEARS IN PRISON
The indictment requested that the suspect Fatih Karaca be sentenced to imprisonment from 6 months to 3 years for the crime of 'facilitating the publication of obscene materials.'
