Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has instructed the Air Force to be "ready for duty at any moment" in response to increasing U.S. pressure and potential military threats against the country.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ordered the Air Force to "be ready" against a possible attack from the United States.

Speaking at the 105th anniversary ceremonies of Bolivarian Military Aviation held in the capital Caracas, and responding to the increasing threats from the U.S. towards his country, Maduro stated that he instructed the Air Force to "be vigilant and ready for duty" against the potential threat of an attack on Venezuela.

Emphasizing that they have been subjected to various threats for about 17 weeks, Maduro said, "(The U.S.) Imperialist foreign powers continuously threaten the peace of the Caribbean Sea, South America, and Venezuela with false and exaggerated justifications that neither the American public, nor the world public, nor the strong Venezuelan public believes."

"OUR PEOPLE FEAR NO ATTACK"

Maduro stated that he continues on his path without compromising the honor and independence of the country, saying, "Today in Venezuela, there is no threat or aggression that scares our people. This people, under the leadership of Bolivar, is calmly prepared to defend their homeland, lands, seas, skies, and history."

U.S. DECISION ON CARTEL DE LOS SOLES ESCALATES TENSIONS

The U.S. decision to place the criminal organization Cartel de los Soles, which it claims is run by Maduro and senior Venezuelan officials, on the Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) list has led to an escalation of tensions.

Venezuela characterized the U.S. move regarding Cartel de los Soles, which it does not recognize, as an attempt to create a pretext for intervention in the country.

It was reported that the world's largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, and its strike group, sent under the pretext of "fighting drug trafficking," have reached the Latin America region.

In response, Venezuelan President Maduro announced that he has mobilized 4.5 million militia forces in the country and is ready to repel any attack.
