In the Seydikemer district of Muğla, an investigation was conducted at the home after 18-year-old Neslinur Topal lost her life and her two siblings were hospitalized for treatment. Initially, it was thought that the siblings were poisoned by the chicken they had eaten, while AFAD and the expert committee detected an unidentified gas in certain areas of the house.
After 18-year-old Neslinur Topal was hospitalized on suspicion of poisoning and subsequently passed away in Seydikemer district of Muğla, an investigation was conducted by AFAD and an expert committee at her residence. It was reported that an unidentified gas was detected in some areas of the house.
18-YEAR-OLD NESLINUR DIED, HER SIBLINGS' TREATMENT CONTINUES
In the incident that occurred in Ortaköy neighborhood of Seydikemer, three siblings who fell ill at home were hospitalized on suspicion of poisoning. After their initial interventions, 18-year-old Neslinur Topal was transferred to Muğla Training and Research Hospital, where she unfortunately passed away despite all efforts, while the treatment of her two siblings continues.
UNIDENTIFIED GAS CONCENTRATION DETECTED IN THE HOUSE
Following the poisoning incident, a detailed investigation was carried out by AFAD teams and the expert committee at the young girl's residence. Initial measurements revealed that an unidentified gas was detected in some areas of the house. Seydikemer District Governor Mustafa Dilekli and Seydikemer Chief Public Prosecutor Gülşen Konukcu participated in the investigations and received information from the teams. Measurements conducted by AFAD with special devices indicated that the concentration of the unidentified gas was high in certain spots.
"AN EXPERT TEAM FROM ANKARA WILL CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION"
Additionally, it was stated that an expert AFAD team from Ankara has been dispatched to the region and a more comprehensive technical examination will be conducted at the house. The exact cause of the incident is expected to be clarified following the detailed analyses to be carried out by the incoming team.
