One of the most frequently used public transportation vehicles in Istanbul, Marmaray, is unable to operate due to a technical malfunction. Many citizens have been affected by the halted services on the first business day of the week.

A malfunction occurred in Marmaray, the most heavily used public transportation vehicle in Istanbul. Due to a power outage in Marmaray, no services have been running for about half an hour, and there is congestion at the stops.

TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION STATEMENT FROM MARMARAY

An official statement regarding the delays was made from Marmaray's social media account. The statement announced that due to a technical malfunction in the energy system between Sirkeci-Ayrılıkçeşmesi-Suadiye stations, services have been running with delays since 09:25.
