Mass graves where only women are buried have been discovered in the capital of Syria, Damascus.

MASS GRAVE FOUND WHERE ONLY WOMEN ARE BURIED

After the opposition came to power in Syria, the atrocities caused by the Assad regime have been revealed. Torture centers, prisons, and mass graves where Syrians are buried collectively best illustrate what the Assad regime has inflicted on the people. Syrians visiting the mass graves identified in the Al-Zainabiyeh area of rural Damascus are trying to find a familiar item or piece of clothing in the dug-up pits.

"BEFORE ASSAD FELL, HE EXECUTED EVERYONE"

Abdelaziz Jawad, who came to see the atrocities caused by Assad, stated, "They have piled the bodies on top of each other. This place is very deep. There are many mass graves like this. They bring the bodies here and throw them inside. Assad and his soldiers are guilty. They are mafia, pigs. This is a woman's dress, oh Arabs, look at Assad's crimes. They have thrown only women into this pit. This blood is women's blood. This graveyard has just been made. Before Assad fell, he brought everyone here and executed them. We want Assad; we will execute him," he expressed.

SYRIANS ARE SEARCHING FOR THEIR RELATIVES IN MASS GRAVES

A Syrian woman who has not heard from her brother in the Sednaya Prison, known as a torture center of the Assad regime, for 10 years and came to the area with mass graves to find her brother's body said, "I visited Sednaya a total of 4 times. After 2014, they did not allow us to meet. We could not meet again," as she broke down in tears.

"THEY BROUGHT 400 PEOPLE IN TWO VEHICLES"

Zaid Firas, who stated that the people killed in Sednaya Prison were buried here, said, "I went to visit my brother in Sednaya Prison. They brought a total of 400 people in two vehicles and buried them here. I saw it with my own eyes. The martyrs are not terrorists; Assad is the terrorist. I buried the human bone I have in my hand in the ground." The total number of people buried in the mass graves is still unknown.
