The Tarsus Execution Directorate teams, together with the creditor lawyers, came to the municipality today. Seizure process was carried out for the total debt of 10 million 800 thousand liras in 5 separate files for the unpaid compensations of the Tarsus Municipality's tradesmen and laid-off workers. The desk, chair, chairs, and all other items in the office of the Mayor Ali Boltaç were loaded onto a truck and taken away.

After the seizure process, Tarsus Municipality Mayor Ali Boltaç made a statement, saying, "The officials from the Tarsus Execution Directorate informed us that they wanted to apply the preservation process to our office. Despite our reconciliation requests for a 3-month period by the Legal Directorate of our municipality, they were rejected by the representative of the execution files, and even though partial payments were made, the items in the presidential office were seized with malicious intent," he said.

Tarsus Mayor Boltaç stated that the total principal debt of the Tarsus Municipality in the files is 5 million 476 thousand 500 TL, "However, this principal amount has been increased to 10 million 800 thousand TL with malicious intent by giving it to the execution. Despite the fact that the municipality made equal payments to all workers who are entitled to severance pay, and despite the request for equal installment payments, this request was not accepted and execution proceedings were initiated. It is clear that the execution process carried out has malicious intent. Today's seizure in the Tarsus Municipality presidential office has been done not only to the Tarsus Municipality but also to each of our citizens. It is a well-known fact that a debt of 10 million 800 thousand TL cannot be collected by taking the president's chair, seat, and desk from the presidential office. This is a project to discredit us. We do not derive our reputation from the chair we sit on or the position we hold. Despite all obstacles, just like yesterday, we will continue to serve Tarsus. No negativity can stop us," he said.
