The co-chair of the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, who was appointed as a trustee, Ahmet Türk, is claimed to be visiting the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli.

Ahmet Türk, when asked whether he would meet with Bahçeli during his visit to the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, replied, "There is no such request, and there is no appointment. We will hold every hand extended for peace and wholeheartedly support everyone who will contribute to peace. Peace can be achieved by clearing the stones in front of it," he answered.

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, in his speech at today's MHP Group Meeting, reiterated his call regarding the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, made on October 22, stating, "We stand behind what we said on October 22. We expect face-to-face contact between İmralı and the DEM group to be made as soon as possible, and we firmly repeat our call. Enough suffering has been endured, enough pain has been experienced. Weapons are not an option; our goal is inclusive politics," he said.
