Mehmet Aslan, the Deputy Chairman of the İYİ Party, made candid statements about his private life during his appearance on Haberler.com. He shared that his father, Fahrettin Aslan, had only one wish for him: "Do everything, but do not gamble." Aslan remarked, "If my father hadn't gambled, he would have bought the five largest holdings in Turkey with cash."

İYİ Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Aslan was the guest of Gökay Kalaycıoğlu, the host of the "Haber Bahane" program published on Haberler.com. Aslan shared unknown details about his political and private life.

"I FOUGHT DRUGS TO DO USEFUL POLITICS"

Stating that Turkey's biggest problem is drugs, Aslan said he is the person who has held the most panels on drug combat in universities in Turkey. While serving as the Deputy Chairman of the MHP Istanbul Provincial Organization, Aslan actively participated as the face and spokesperson of the campaign against drugs, saying, "When I started politics with the Nationalist Movement Party, I wanted to do something different from others. Because I was very young. What was the youth problem at that time? It was drugs. I wanted to channel my efforts into this. I aimed to do studies related to this and to pursue a useful politics as a result of a program, so we launched the Gel Kardeş project, and the drug awareness project developed." he stated.

"GAMBLING WAS MY FATHER'S ONLY LEGACY TO ME"

Pointing out that the second biggest problem is gambling, Aslan made sincere statements about his father, Fahrettin Aslan. Stating that his father was a gambler, Aslan said, "He is one of the biggest players in the world, and it was his only legacy to me. Do everything in life, but do not gamble. And he explained to me very well what it was. 'I did everything in life for you, I created. Work or don't work, but if you ever gamble, my bones will ache in the grave. I will turn over,' he said." he expressed.

Stating that his father lost a lot of money in gambling, Aslan said, "If he hadn't gambled, he would have bought the five biggest holdings in Turkey with cash."
