Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek said, "We will continue our efforts to review some exceptions in order to ensure fairness in taxation in the coming period."

The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, spoke at the 2025-2027 Medium-Term Program meeting.

Here are the highlights from Minister Şimşek's speech:

*In the short term, our main priority is disinflation. Our priority is price stability. Without it, we cannot achieve sustainable high growth.

*With disinflation, growth in Turkey will increase.

*To achieve permanent welfare increase, we need to lower inflation to single digits and maintain price stability.

*We will continue our efforts to tax rent.

*We are reducing the budget deficit in 2025, which is a strong support for disinflation.

*In the upcoming period, we will continue our efforts to review certain exceptions in order to ensure tax justice.
