Details have emerged regarding the escape of a fugitive member of the Sarallar crime organization to Greece. It has been determined that among the suspects, including famous singer Merve Özbey's husband Kenan Koçak, a bribe was given in a baklava box during the fugitive member's passage.
The famous singer Merve Özbey's contractor husband was reported to have used a vehicle to bring an organization member to the İpsala border gate, while a special border gate that was closed to use was arranged.
Details obtained by Sabah revealed that the suspects met around Malkara and went to the Edirne İpsala Land Border Gate with İshak Aydınoğlu. It was understood that the police chief Mehmet Deniz Karakurt left before arriving at the border gate, and İshak Aydınoğlu, Ener Aktaş, Kenan Koçak, and Turan Yıldırım arrived at the front of the border gate with two separate vehicles and completed their procedures to pass through another border gate that was closed to the use of other vehicles.
BRIBERY IN A BAKLAVA BOX TO THE POLICE AT THE GATE
It was determined that, under the guidance of Mehmet Deniz Karakurt, the officer on duty at the border gate, Commissioner Vedat Genççağı, received a package from police officer Orhan Bay in a baklava box bag, while Turan Yıldırım did not leave the vehicle during this time.
It was found that, under the direction of Commissioner Vedat Genççağı, the other police officer Aykut Yeşilyurt only checked the passports of Ener and Kenan, and did not check the passport of Turan Yıldırım, who was supposed to be checked, and that the procedures were carried out not at the normal booth but at a closed booth where customs officer Bahattin Altuntop was located.
WENT TO GREECE
Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that 8 suspects organized the exit of Turan Yıldırım abroad and that Yıldırım entered Greece after passing through customs.
MERVE ÖZBEY'S HUSBAND'S DENIAL
Merve Özbey's husband Kenan Koçak stated that he would go on a two-day vacation to Greece with Ener Aktaş due to family issues and that he encountered Turan Yıldırım, whom he did not know before, when he went to Ener's house. Koçak also expressed the following:
"We went to İpsala with the chief Deniz, whom I knew before. The chief Deniz left us after we got close to İpsala. After arriving at the İpsala Border Gate, I got out of the vehicle after taking my passport. I heard Ener telling Turan to prepare the documents. After I went to the restroom, I completed my exit procedures with the police and customs officers there. I did not see Ener during this process. After my procedure was completed, Ener said that their procedures were also finished. I got into the car and exited the border gate as the driver. No checks were made in the vehicle. Two minutes later, we arrived at the Greek border gate. There, Turan, Ener, and I presented our passports. The Greek customs officer said there was a missing note on Turan's passport, and they did not let Turan into Greece. Ener and I entered Greece; I do not know whether Turan crossed into Greece or not."
HIS LIE WAS EXPOSED
Although Kenan Koçak claimed he went on a two-day vacation, it was seen from customs records that he exited to Greece at 17:34 on the day of the incident and re-entered Turkey at 20:31.
