With the decree of the Judges and Prosecutors Council (HSK), Akın Gürlek was appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul, Ali Yeldan as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Izmir, Üzeyir Karakülah as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Eskişehir, and Semih Akgün as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Kocaeli.
HSK APPOINTED CHIEF PROSECUTORS AND CHAIRS
Following the elections for the Supreme Court and Council of State memberships, appointments were made to the vacant provincial and district chief public prosecutor positions and chairmanships by HSK. According to the HSK decree, Akın Gürlek, the Deputy Minister of Justice, was appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul in place of Şaban Yılmaz, who was elected as a member of the Supreme Court; Semih Akgün was appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Kocaeli in place of Ferhat Kapıcı; Halil Sezgin was appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Karşıyaka in place of Ali Rıza San; and Hazar Turan Alim was appointed as the President of the Istanbul Regional Court of Appeal in place of Murat Boylu. With the decree, Ali Yeldan, the Chief Public Prosecutor of Eskişehir, was appointed to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Izmir; and Üzeyir Karakülah, the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Ankara, was appointed to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Eskişehir. Additionally, Recep Yılmaz Korkmaz was appointed as the President of the Istanbul Regional Administrative Court in place of Ahmet Cüneyt Yılmaz, who was elected as a member of the Council of State.
