Galatasaray's Vice President Metin Öztürk made a statement after the Fenerbahçe derby. Öztürk, who called for the identification of the person who threw a lighter at player Kazımcan Karataş, said, "There was a lighter that hit Kazımcan in the eye! If it had fallen just one centimeter lower, he would have lost his eye! The police must find that person immediately. We expect the police to identify that individual and impose the necessary penalties under Law 6222."
Galatasaray Vice President Metin Öztürk spoke after the 1-1 draw in the Fenerbahçe derby. Metin Öztürk expressed great anger towards referee Yasin Kol and also called on the police.
"I THINK IT SHOULD BE A TURNING POINT"
Stating that referee Yasin Kol is being protected, Metin Öztürk said, "I think this should be a turning point for Turkish football. Turkish football refereeing cannot be saved with such methods. This referee is being protected by someone! He is a very bad referee! Instead of a FIFA-licensed referee, they assign this referee to this match. In the second half, he was determined not to let Galatasaray play! He didn't even look at Barış Alper's penalty at the end of the first half! He wasted people's efforts. A clear red for Sara, he didn't even look back!"
"POLICE MUST FIND HIM"
Addressing the police regarding the foreign object thrown at Kazımcan Karataş, Öztürk said, "There is a lighter that hit Kazımcan in the eye! If it had come down one centimeter, he would have lost his eye! The police must find that person immediately. We expect the police to find that person and impose the necessary penalty under Article 6222."
"DON'T FORGET THIS, ETCH IT IN YOUR MIND!'
Continuing his remarks, Metin Öztürk said, "Arda Kardeşler's refereeing was ended in the Trabzonspor match! He made the same call in the Beşiktaş match! A referee this terrible was rewarded with such a match! Shame on them. A theater is being played out here, and we will not watch it! We will follow this to the end! Don't forget this, etch it in your mind! Galatasaray stands against all kinds of injustice! Even if we had won, we would have said these things!"
