Access to the beach and sea has been prohibited due to a mine detected 60 meters offshore and 5 meters deep in the Ereğli district of Zonguldak. Coast Guard, police, and municipal teams were dispatched to the scene. Access to the beach area and sea has been prohibited for the smooth progress of the operations. SAS COMMANDOS DISPATCHEDDuring the examination, it was determined that the suspicious object was a mine of Ukrainian origin. Police and municipal teams took security measures on land, while Coast Guard teams took security measures at sea. Underwater Defense (SAS) commandos were dispatched to the area. While the commandos started their work for the destruction of the mine at its location, the police turned back those who tried to enter the sea. The operations are ongoing in the deserted beach area.
