After the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his transfer to Silivri Prison in the corruption investigation against the IMM, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had called for a boycott of certain brands. As the number of brands increased over time, a general call for boycott was made today.

SHARED PHOTOS OF HIS SHOPPING

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, who ignited a new debate by using the expression 'rabid minority' regarding those who are boycotting, shared photos of his shopping today. Bolat stated, "Today is the day to stand by the national economy."

"A DAY TO GROW TRADE TOGETHER FOR THE NATIONAL ECONOMY"

In his post, Minister Bolat included photos taken while shopping. Bolat used the following expressions; "Today is the day to stand by the national economy; the day of production, trade, employment, consumption, and solidarity. Today is the day of solidarity with our tradesmen. It is the day to do tomorrow's shopping today. In the Turkey Century, it is the day to grow trade together for a strong national economy."

Today in Ankara, we celebrated with our tradesmen and visited them to show our solidarity against the calls made by some opposition groups aimed at harming our country, our trade, our tradesmen, and our producers. Turkey continues on its path with strong steps in the economic and commercial field, together with its producers, tradesmen, artisans, cooperatives, industrialists, and exporters; making significant strides in the export of goods and services and continuing to strengthen its employment. In this process, it is also in a position to give a strong response to the delusional statements of some politicians.
