Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that 1 million 366 thousand 215 Syrians have voluntarily returned to their country. In his statement, Minister Çiftçi included the phrases, "These brothers are now the ambassadors of our homeland."
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi addressed the governors of 81 provinces at the "Governors' Meeting" program held in Ankara. Çiftçi, who made evaluations on many topics, primarily security and public order, shared the latest data regarding irregular migration and the return process of Syrians.
Stating that irregular migration is one of the most serious security threats on a global scale, Çiftçi said that due to Turkey's geographical location, it is situated on an attractive migration route along the east-west and north-south axis. He expressed that a careful, precautionary, and sustainable migration policy is essential.
"UNINTERRUPTED STRUGGLE" MESSAGE
Emphasizing that they base their fight against migration on human dignity, Çiftçi said, "Our struggle against irregular migration will continue uninterrupted with an understanding that respects human dignity and does not compromise our faith and cultural values."
"TO BE A SUPPORTER OF REFUGEES..."
Çiftçi, noting that Anatolia has been a refuge for the oppressed throughout history, stated, "Being a supporter of refugees is a fundamental requirement of our faith. Helping the oppressed without discrimination of religion, origin, or sect is the fundamental policy of our esteemed President and our AK Party."

Minister Çiftçi announced that to date, 1 million 366 thousand 215 Syrians have returned to their countries voluntarily and with dignity. He stated that those who have returned are "the ambassadors of our homeland's heart."
