In the investigation conducted against the Bolu Municipality, a large number of gendarmerie teams are conducting searches at the municipal building in the morning hours.
New developments have occurred within the investigation initiated by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the accusation of "embezzlement."
GENDARMERIE CONDUCTING SEARCH AT THE MUNICIPALITY
In the morning hours, a large number of gendarmerie teams entered the Bolu Municipality building. The teams are continuing detailed search operations within the municipality building as part of the investigation.
TANJU ÖZCAN AND HIS ASSISTANT WERE ARRESTED
As part of the investigation, teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command had detained Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan and Deputy Mayor S.C. on February 28. The two individuals were arrested by the court they were brought before. The other 11 suspects mentioned in the case were released under judicial control conditions.
WHO IS TANJU ÖZCAN?
Born on December 12, 1973, in Bolu, Özcan graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law. After working as a freelance lawyer, he held positions as a Municipal Council Member and Boluspor Administrator. Özcan is married and a father of one child.
