Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, who came to Rize as part of a series of visits and programs, attended the AK Party's Central District Presidency congress. In his speech at the congress, Minister Işıkhan reacted to municipalities that organize million-dollar concerts despite having billions in debt to SGK.

MUNICIPALITIES IN DEBT TO SGK

Speaking at the congress held at the Youth Sports Provincial Directorate Sports Hall, Işıkhan referred to municipalities in debt to SGK, stating, "Even our cities that are managed by municipalities struggling to survive with fraud and debt politics have benefited from these investments and continue to do so. As the AK Party, we have achieved great successes in Turkey over a quarter of a century. We have done everything that was said to be impossible, and we have resolved every problem that was deemed unsolvable sooner or later. However, we have unfortunately not found a solution to the recklessness of so-called people's parties that say, 'We will pollute, and you will clean.' Despite having billions in debt to SGK, which guarantees the lives of our citizens, we have still not found a solution to the mentality that mindlessly squanders our national wealth and transfers resources through concerts. Unfortunately, we have not found a solution to the opposition understanding that considers enmity against the homeland and nation as politics, let alone any activity for the benefit of the people," he said.

FIGHTING TERRORISM

Continuing his words by saying, "We will continue to work harder and produce more in defiance of terrorism and its supporters," Işıkhan stated, "While we are striving to restore the reputation that our country deserves with a new work and a new action every day, some are trying to slow down our country's progress towards its goals with terrorism and chaos. Everyone should know very well that Turkey has no time to lose with such agendas. Even if some try to obstruct, Turkey has great goals to build the next century and a long road to walk. We will continue to work harder and produce more in defiance of terrorism and its supporters. In every field, from the economy to health, social security, national defense, and technology, we will continue to elevate the solid foundations we have laid so far. With the understanding that development starts from the local level, we will grow our cities with more investments on one hand while increasing the coordination of local and general services to elevate each of our cities above world standards," he expressed.
