Minister Işıkhan made a statement that ended the expectations of hundreds of thousands of people regarding the gradual retirement that came to the agenda after EYT.

"BEING IN THE SPOTLIGHT WITH VICTIMIZATION IS NOT A HEALTHY APPROACH"

In a live broadcast, Minister Işıkhan responded to a question about gradual retirement, which makes citizens who miss the opportunity to retire by just one year, week, or day after EYT dream of early retirement:

"We are currently in a rush and working on how we can maintain the existing actuarial balance, how we can regularly pay pensions to our retirees, and how we can make health services sustainable. There is actually no victimization here. Being in the spotlight with victimization is not a healthy approach. Look at the SGK system. It is a system that is envied and followed worldwide. We do not know it because we are inside. But our citizens living abroad compliment us on how well it is managed."
