5 million 314 thousand people applied for the 'Housing Project of the Century' consisting of 500 thousand social housing units. Applications will continue until December, and the draws will be held at the end of 2025. Construction is planned to start in 2026, with the first deliveries expected in March 2027. In Istanbul, housing prices start from 1 million 950 thousand TL, while in Anatolia, they start from 1 million 800 thousand TL; payments will be made with a 10% down payment and a 20-year term.
The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, announced that the application process for the 'Century Housing Project' with 500,000 social housing units to be implemented in 81 provinces has attracted great interest. In a statement regarding the matter, Minister Kurum said, "5 million 314 thousand of our brothers and sisters have applied for the 'Century Housing Project'."
APPLICATION PROCESS CONTINUES
Applications for social housing started on November 10. The process for citizens who meet the conditions is as follows:
- Applications can be made at Ziraat Bank, Halkbank, and Emlak Katılım Bankası branches until December 19.
- Applications can be made through e-Government until December 18.
- A fee of 5,000 TL must be deposited for the application.
- The draws will be held between December 29, 2025, and February 27, 2026.
- The application fee will be refunded to those who do not become entitled.
CONSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY SCHEDULE
The construction process of the new social housing is planned to start in 2026. Depending on the size of the project, the housing units are expected to:
- Be completed within 1.5 to 2.5 years,
- With the first deliveries aimed to be made by March 2027.
PRICES AND PAYMENT TERMS DETERMINED
Citizens who are entitled in the draw will start payments after signing a contract with TOKİ. The payment model is as follows:
- 10% down payment
- 240 months (20 years) installment
Installments will be updated twice a year according to the civil servant salary increase rate. (TOKİ may determine a lower increase rate if deemed necessary.)
Housing prices:
- İstanbul: Starting from 1 million 950 thousand TL, with monthly installments starting from 7 thousand 313 TL.
- Anatolian provinces: Starting from 1 million 800 thousand TL, with monthly installments starting from 6 thousand 750 TL.
