The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, shared important details regarding the project for 500 thousand social housing units to be built in 81 provinces. Addressing the application conditions for low-income citizens within the scope of the "Housing Project of the Century," Minister Kurum emphasized the ownership status of young people.

APPLICATION "FAMILY HOUSE" CONDITION

In a statement to Ensonhaber, Minister Kurum noted that the property status of families will also be taken into account during the application process for young people aged 18-30. Kurum stated, "Our young people aged 18-30 cannot apply if there is a property registered in their parents' names. Citizens over 30 can apply, even if the property is in their parents' names. However, we consider those aged 18-30 as young."

"AT LEAST ONE PERSON FROM EACH FAMILY SHOULD BE A HOMEOWNER"

Emphasizing that the property assets of families are also examined during the application process for young people, Kurum said, "We check whether the young people aged 18-30 have a house owned by their parents. Because there are those who have multiple houses. They may not have left an inheritance to their child, but they have the means. Therefore, if their parents have a house, young people aged 18-30 cannot apply, and even if they do, they cannot become entitled. Here, we want at least one person from the family to buy a house."
