Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was reported to have died, appeared at a press conference for the first time following the attacks they launched against the U.S. and Iran.
Highlights from Netanyahu's statements during the online meeting are as follows:
"WE ARE CHANGING THE MIDDLE EAST AND BECOMING A GLOBAL POWER"
"Hezbollah's aggression will pay a price. We have achieved significant successes that will change the balance of power in the Middle East. We are in historic days, and operations against Iran are ongoing. The greatest danger to Israel lies in Iran. The Iranian regime is planning to destroy Israel with ballistic missiles and is trying to develop a nuclear bomb. We are changing the Middle East and becoming a regional power, and in some areas, a global power. The Iranian regime has established a system aimed at destroying Israel through proxy forces, ballistic missiles, and a nuclear program.
"WE HAVE REMOVED KHAMENEI, HIS SON CAN NO LONGER APPEAR IN PUBLIC"
We have formed an unprecedented alliance with the United States, and I speak with Trump every day. We are working to create the necessary conditions for the Iranian people to overthrow the regime. The moment of freedom for the Iranian people is approaching, but it is entirely in the hands of the people. The fall of the regime is not guaranteed. We will deal severe blows to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Basij forces at their headquarters and checkpoints. We will not allow Iranians to develop existential threats against Israel. We will have more surprises. Iran is no longer the old Iran. We have removed Khamenei, and his son can no longer appear in public."
IRAN RESPONDED BEFORE HE FINISHED HIS SPEECH
Meanwhile, while Netanyahu was continuing his speech, a large number of missiles were launched from Iran towards Israel. First, warning alarms were sent to phones, and then sirens sounded in many cities of Israel, especially in the capital Tel Aviv, due to the Iranian missiles. Israel's emergency service, Magen David Adom, announced that it had not received reports of missile hits or injuries from the Iranian retaliation. Israel's Channel 12 television claimed that one missile had fallen in an open area.
