The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, said, "God willing, we will connect Ankara to Izmir with a high-speed train. We will reduce the travel time between the two cities from 14 hours to just 3 hours and 30 minutes."
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu attended the iftar program organized by the AK Party Ankara Provincial Presidency. Here, Minister Uraloğlu, who provided information about the ministry's projects, stated, "We have transported 97 million of our citizens by high-speed train."
Uraloğlu noted that many services have been provided in Ankara, just as in every part of Turkey, and said: "We have carried out works in every area of transportation, including road, rail, air, communication, and maritime throughout Turkey. We have also done many projects in our Ankara. We have connected our Ankara to every part of our country with divided roads. We have linked it from east to west and from north to south with divided roads. We have also connected Ankara to every part of our country and many centers abroad by air. We have, thank God, connected Ankara primarily to Eskişehir, then to Istanbul, followed by Konya, Karaman, and finally to Yozgat by high-speed train."
MINISTER URALOĞLU: WE HAVE TRANSPORTED 97 MILLION OF OUR CITIZENS BY HIGH-SPEED TRAIN
"We have transported 97 million of our citizens by high-speed train. Now, we will hopefully connect Ankara to Izmir by high-speed train. We will reduce our travel time from 14 hours to just 3.5 hours. Again, we have introduced Ankara to highways, primarily connecting it to Nevşehir, Niğde, and from there to the Mediterranean, Mersin, Adana, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, and Şanlıurfa with the Ankara-Niğde Highway. We have also provided many services in terms of communication. I know there are more demands. We are organizing them together with our provincial organization, our provincial presidency, and our members of parliament. We will continue to do so."
