American rapper Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, who recently apologized after a video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend surfaced, has been sued for allegedly drugging and harassing a model in 2003.
SEXUAL ASSAULT IN HIS STUDIO BATHROOM
Model Crystal McKinney, who was 22 years old at the time, claimed that Combs gave her alcohol, possibly laced with drugs, and then took her to the bathroom of his studio in New York where he sexually assaulted her. McKinney said that she woke up in a taxi after passing out and realized that she had been sexually assaulted. She stated that she met Combs at a Men's Fashion Week event at Cipriani and he invited her to his studio. She mentioned that they consumed alcohol and drugs there.
CONTEMPLATED SUICIDE
After the incident, McKinney claimed that her modeling career ended and she fell into depression to the point of attempting suicide in 2004. The model filed a lawsuit against the rapper for the incident that occurred in 2003. This lawsuit is the latest in a series of accusations against Combs in recent months. Since November, six lawsuits have been filed against him, including one by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, accusing him of rape and harassment.
In April, Combs' mansions in Florida and California were raided by a Department of Homeland Security team investigating human trafficking. Although Combs initially denied all allegations, he apologized after footage emerged on Sunday showing him assaulting Ventura in a hotel corridor in 2016.
