The new education curriculum has been approved by the Board of Education. Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, who will meet with journalists regarding the approval of the curriculum, got angry and moved the microphone away when a reporter asked him a question about the subject.
Journalist Ayşegül Altın, who wanted to ask a question to Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin about the newly approved curriculum, received an unexpected reaction. Tekin pushed away her extended microphone with his hand and continued on his way, expressing his reaction with the words "You have no right to violate the rights of so many people."
The President of the Board of Education and Discipline Council, Prof. Dr. Cihad Demirli, announced that all opinions and suggestions received for the new curriculum, called "Turkey Century Education Model," have been reflected in the educational programs and that the new curriculum has been approved by the Board of Education and Discipline Council.
After this statement about the curriculum, Minister Yusuf Tekin, who attended an event in Yedikule, Istanbul, was asked a question. However, Tekin became angry and pushed away the microphone extended by journalist Ayşegül Altın with his hand.
Tekin turned to the journalist and said, "I respectfully acknowledge your right to freedom of information in a very democratic way. I will make a press statement regarding the question you asked. You are also welcome to come and talk. You have no right to violate the rights of so many people."
In response to the reaction she received, the journalist told Yusuf Tekin, "It's not a difficult question, it's about the curriculum," but she received the response "Please, I'm asking you, my friends."
