It was reported that more than 200 prisoners escaped from a prison in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, following an earthquake that occurred at midnight.
According to a report by Dawn based on police officials, following the earthquake that occurred in Karachi at midnight, prisoners in a local prison were temporarily taken outside for a headcount.
NOTICED DURING THE HEADCOUNT
Officials stated that more than 200 prisoners escaped from the prison after being taken outside, and shared that 78 of these prisoners have been recaptured.
MOTHER HANDS OVER HER SON
Meanwhile, officials noted that one prisoner who engaged in a clash with the police was neutralized, while another was handed over by his mother. Efforts to locate the escaped prisoners are ongoing.
