According to a survey, 54% of the American public believes that military attacks on Iran would pose a greater threat to their country. While 59% of the public stated that they do not support these attacks, 44% expressed that they are in favor of overthrowing the Iranian government.

According to a survey conducted in the United States, 54% of the public believes that attacks on Iran would pose a greater threat to the country. In a survey conducted by CNN's independent research company SSRS with 1,004 Americans from February 28 to March 1, the public's initial reaction to an attack on Iran was examined.

PARTICIPANTS DO NOT APPROVE OF INITIAL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While 59% of participants do not approve of the initial attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, 41% reported that they support these operations. 54% of participants expressed concern that the attacks would pose "a greater threat to the US from Iran," while 28% stated that they believe Iran would become "a lesser threat to the US."

When asked whether US President Donald Trump has an "open plan" to address the Iran issue, 60% of participants answered "no," while 40% expressed a contrary opinion. 44% of participants indicated that they are in favor of the US trying to overthrow the Iranian government, while 56% expressed opposition to this. When asked about the likelihood of a long-term conflict between the US and Iran, 56% of participants said it is "somewhat likely," while 24% stated it is "very likely."

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

On February 28, while negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran.

In response, Iran retaliated with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.

Iran's Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpur announced that 926 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
