Fenerbahçe's head coach Jose Mourinho targeted Galatasaray in his statements before the match against Hatayspor. Speaking about the controversial match in which the yellow-reds defeated Göztepe 2-1, the Portuguese coach said, "These scandals have started to happen every week. I don't want to spend my time watching these. I would prefer to watch the scandals in my favorite series 'Washington D.C.'"
Fenerbahçe's head coach Jose Mourinho made striking statements regarding the Galatasaray-Göztepe match, which was played yesterday and caused controversies, before the match against Hatayspor.
DOUBLE STRIKER PREFERENCE
Mourinho stated, "We took a short break for the players to rest. We were able to work continuously for 9 days. It's hard to find this in the middle of the season. We worked hard. We improved some things and tried to add some new elements. For example, today Dzeko and En-Nesyri will start together. We haven't had much chance to try this because Youssef couldn't join us right at the beginning of the season," he said.
HATAYSPOR SHARING
The Portuguese coach said, "The criticisms I receive for my sharing, 'Why are you analyzing Hatayspor?' do not affect me. It doesn't matter whether I play against Real Madrid or Hatayspor; I focus on my work. My respect for the opponent is always the same. I have done my analysis. Their shortcomings will not change anything for them. They have many options in midfield," he expressed.
"I'D RATHER WATCH A SERIES THAN THE SCANDALOUS MATCH YESTERDAY"
In a reference to Galatasaray, Jose Mourinho stated, "I would prefer to watch the Hatayspor match rather than the scandal from yesterday. These scandals have started to happen every week. I don't want to spend my time watching these. I would rather watch the scandals in the series I love, 'Washington D.C.,'" he explained.
