In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, 44 people, including Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, were detained. It was learned that among those detained was İbrahim Can Yaman, the brother-in-law of Murat Ongun. Ongun stated, "At dawn, the police came to our house for the third time to conduct a search and make arrests. This time, they took my dear brother-in-law with them."

This morning, the 9th wave of operations was carried out as part of the investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). A total of 44 people, including Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, were taken into custody during the operation.

ONGUN'S BROTHER-IN-LAW IS ALSO IN CUSTODY

After the detentions, a post was made on social media by Murat Ongun, the IMM President's Advisor and Chairman of the Board of Media A.Ş, who is currently in custody. The post mentioned that among those taken into custody was Ongun's brother-in-law, İbrahim Can Yaman, and stated the following:

"THIS TIME THEY TOOK MY DEAR BROTHER-IN-LAW"

'My house has been raided for the 3rd time. At dawn, the police came to our house for the 3rd time to conduct a search and make arrests. This time they took my dear brother-in-law. The treatment towards my family and me has exceeded the dimension of oppression and turned into a unique use of power. 'Strong evidence of crime' has been replaced by 'strong oath of revenge.' Common sense and impartiality have disappeared. It has become impossible to say anything other than asking God for wisdom and conscience.'
