In Fatih, Istanbul, a fight broke out between the operator of a tea house where the popular series 'Çukur' was filmed and a street vendor over a stall. During the altercation, one of the partners shot Çali with a firearm. Çali was taken to the hospital but unfortunately passed away, while the two women involved in the incident were detained. The moment of the fight was captured on a mobile phone camera.
Two women running the café located in the Balat neighborhood of the Fatih district of Istanbul, where the popular TV series 'Çukur' was filmed, have been experiencing tension with street vendor Ercan Çali over the stall for some time.
THEY PULLED A GUN AND SHOT
In the morning hours, the women pulled a gun when Çali refused to move his stall to another location. After their request was not met, a fight broke out, resulting in Ercan Çali being shot.
THE WOMEN WHO OWNED THE BUSINESS WERE DETAINED
Upon the notification of nearby citizens, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the first intervention by health teams, the injured Çali was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while the suspects were detained by the police.
HE LOST HIS LIFE
It was learned that Çali, who was being treated in the hospital, passed away despite all interventions. His body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy. Police investigations related to the incident are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the argument and the moments when the women used guns were recorded by a mobile phone camera. The footage shows Ercan Çali arguing with a woman in front of him for a while and asking her to leave, after which the woman pulled a gun from her waist and aimed it at him. At that moment, the gun in the woman's hand went off, and Ercan Çali fell to the ground while trying to stop her. The woman who got up from the ground then assaulted the man lying on the ground. At the same time, another woman was seen firing into the air.
