A 63-year-old man named Derviş Ahmet Fidan lost his life after a car hit him while he was riding his bicycle in the İznik district of Bursa. The moment of the accident was recorded by a security camera.
A security camera footage has emerged of the accident in which a person lost their life in the İznik district of Bursa a few days ago.
The incident occurred on March 12 at around 18:30 on the İznik-Orhangazi highway, in front of İznik State Hospital. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 16 AOF 202, driven by Gökhan A., hit Derviş Ahmet Fidan (63), who was riding his bicycle. Fidan was severely injured as a result of the impact.
DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS, HE LOST HIS LIFE
Upon the notification of citizens who witnessed the accident, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the first intervention at the scene, Fidan was taken to İznik State Hospital by ambulance, but he lost his life despite all interventions.
THE TERRIFYING ACCIDENT ON CAMERA
Security camera footage of the moment of the accident has also emerged. Fidan, who was riding his bicycle on the right side of the road, was thrown into the air after being hit by the car coming from behind. Those moments were captured second by second on the security cameras. Immediately after the accident, it was seen that citizens rushed to the scene to help.
THE DRIVER WAS DETAINED
Following the accident, the driver of the car was detained, while the police teams continue their investigation regarding the accident.
