Renowned Prof. Dr. Naci Görür, known for his accurate predictions, has issued a new earthquake warning that has caused concern. Görür stated that there could be an earthquake of at least 7.4 magnitude between Bingöl-Karlıova-Erzincan, saying "We are on high alert. If an earthquake above 7 occurs, it will also be very destructive." Görür emphasized that they also expect a possible earthquake in Tunceli, along with these provinces.
The live guest of the 'Agenda' program broadcasted on Kanal Fırat, earthquake expert and geologist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made remarkable evaluations.
"BUILDING AND POPULATION DENSITY IS NOT HIGH, BUT..."
Görür, who said "I am expecting an earthquake in Tunceli right now," stated, "There is Karlıova to the east of Erzincan. That part between them is the easternmost end of the North Anatolian Fault. We call it the Yedisu fault. It is located between Erzincan and Bingöl's Karlıova district. It will produce an earthquake, not in the distant future. If it happens, it will be an earthquake with a magnitude of 7 or higher and it will also be very destructive. There is not a high building and population density there, but still, my people will lose their lives. Tunceli governor took my words seriously. I also talked to the district governors there. I warned them as much as I could. They are working in Tunceli. A fault that caused the last earthquake is coming to Karlıova. Karlıova-Bingöl-Göynük. From there, it goes to Karakoçan, Elazığ, Malatya, and then to Hatay."
HE ALSO GAVE THE MAGNITUDE: AT LEAST 7.4
In his further statement, Görür stated that the earthquake between Bingöl-Karlıova-Erzincan could have a magnitude of at least 7.4. He said, "Now, the place we are afraid of the next earthquake is between Karlıova and Bingöl-Göynük. Right at the fork. The energy may have transferred there during the earthquakes on February 20. You ask where the earthquake will occur. It could be at least 7.4 between Bingöl-Karlıova-Erzincan. Because the production period of the earthquake has stopped. It is imminent. Secondly, the possibility of it happening between Bingöl-Göynük is high. That would be a 7 magnitude earthquake. The last one occurred around 1866. If the Bingöl-Göynük fault continues southwest, it will reach Palu and Elazığ. It will pass towards Malatya."
