The investigation into the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, continues by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. THE BODY WAS TAKEN TO HER VILLAGE FOR BURIALFollowing the search operations, the 10-hour autopsy of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in a sack in the Eğertutmaz Stream, was completed by 13 expert teams at the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institute. While Narin's body was taken to her village for burial, the 24 suspects detained as part of the investigation are still undergoing procedures at the gendarmerie. THE UNCLE'S CAR IS UNDER INVESTIGATIONA remarkable development took place last night within the scope of the investigation. The car belonging to the uncle Salim Güran, whose DNA was detected to belong to Narin, was taken by the gendarmerie for examination. WHAT HAPPENED?Narin Güran, who went to the Quran course in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district on August 21, did not return home after the course, so her family searched for her on their own. When no results were obtained from the search, Narin's father Arif Güran reported her missing on the same day around 20:00. As a result, numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village. While the search operations were ongoing, Narin Güran's brother E.G. (18) was detained due to bite marks on his arm. When it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released. Then Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, Salim Güran, was detained. Salim Güran, whose DNA samples taken from his car matched the DNA samples from Narin's clothes, was arrested on charges of "intentional killing" and "deprivation of liberty." The teams, who had previously focused on the searched areas again, conducted a search in the Eğertutmaz Stream, located 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and found Narin's lifeless body on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin was killed and then thrown into the stream in a sack, which was covered with stones.
