WHAT HAPPENED?
The incident occurred on February 2 at the vehicle inspection station in the Yenimahalle district. According to allegations, police officer Melih Okan Keskin (44) was told that he could not pass the inspection because his vehicle's parking light was not working. Keskin, who checked his car, stated that he did not encounter such a malfunction. A dispute broke out between Keskin and the employees who stated that they could not take the vehicle for inspection again. Keskin, who was assaulted by a group during the argument, became unwell and went to the hospital on his own.
DIED
After the first examination, it was determined that Keskin had a shift and bleeding in his brain, and he was transferred to another hospital. After the surgery, Keskin deteriorated again and, despite interventions in the intensive care unit, he could not be saved and passed away on February 5. After the ceremony held at the Ankara Police Department, Keskin's body was buried in tears at the Karşıyaka Cemetery following the funeral prayer.
