New statements have come from Ceyda Saçar, the daughter of Elif Saçar, who is involved in a scandalous affair with Mutlu Işıksu, the mayor of Adapazarı. Elif expressed that her mother has threatened her, saying, "Let me put it this way. A lump sum of money. You can keep the house, the car, and the custody. Let's settle this without complicating things. This is what my mother's lawyer and my mother are saying. They are conveying this to you through them. Yes, 2 million was mentioned."
Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu was alleged to have had a "forbidden love" affair with the municipality's private secretary Elif Saçar. Following these allegations, the AK Party referred Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu to the disciplinary board with a request for "definite expulsion."
FORBIDDEN LOVE REVEALED BY DAUGHTER
Elif Saçar's daughter, 22-year-old law student Ceyda Saçar, brought the scandal to light by speaking at a meeting attended by the Public Chief Inspector (Ombudsman) Mehmet Akarca in Sakarya. Saçar stated that Işıksu had threatened her and filed a lawsuit against her for 50 million TL in moral damages.
"WHEN THE MESSAGES CAME OUT, THEY CALLED ME SCHIZOPHRENIC"
After the incident made headlines in Turkey, Saçar told Radio Sputnik that she was called schizophrenic when the messages were about to come out. Ceyda Saçar said, "Later, it was claimed that I had written these messages to myself. I had been messaging for 6 months, this is a 6-month correspondence. For 6 months, I had been messaging myself. And the dates, times, and all their locations were accurate, the programs were correct. I had done that by accessing my mother's calendar. In this part, they had said things like 'your life will end before this, you will be ruined,' and distributed messages."
"I RECEIVED THREATS FROM MY MOTHER SAYING 'YOUR LIFE WILL END'"
Saçar stated that she received threats from her mother saying, "You will be ruined, your life will end," and added, "Similarly, my aunts sent messages during this process asking if I had become schizophrenic, saying they were very sorry. I made the speech, got off the podium. Later, they directed me to file a complaint, to write a petition. They were there, but none of them directed me. They were the people involved in the organization. After that, no one called me again. I had already changed my number to avoid contact with any of them. After that, no one reached my phone again. I have a question mark in my mind about that part. He is saying a different amount in the prosecutor's office than what we wanted. Later, it comes out in the news, and he says a different amount there. He is actually telling different things everywhere. I think he couldn't manage much of the truth either," she said.
"MY MOTHER HAS A CAR WHOSE ORIGIN SHE CANNOT EXPLAIN"
Ceyda Saçar stated that her mother Elif Saçar has a car of unknown origin, saying, "It happened at the exit of the program I spoke at. She said she trusted justice and that she was being blackmailed. After saying this, she left. They said, 'Let's give this much money and close this issue.' Let me put it this way. A lump sum of money. The house, the car, let the custody remain with you. Let's give alimony on top of that. Let's settle this without mixing it up. This is what my mother's lawyer and my mother say. They are telling you through them. Yes, it was said. 2 million. My mother has a car whose origin she cannot explain. I hope that car does not make her feel the absence of her child in her life from now on," she expressed.
WHAT HAPPENED?
22-year-old law student Ceyda Saçar brought the "forbidden love" allegation to light at a meeting attended by Public Chief Inspector (Ombudsman) Mehmet Akarca in Sakarya. Saçar stated that Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu had threatened her and filed a lawsuit against her for 50 million TL in moral damages.
THE ISSUE WAS BROUGHT TO THE GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND CİMER
It has emerged that the young law student previously reported the issue to the Grand National Assembly's Petition Commission, the Women and Men Equal Opportunities Commission (KEFEK), and CİMER. In the petition submitted to the Assembly, Ceyda Saçar included the following statements: "I am the daughter of Elif Saçar, who works in the private office of Adapazarı Municipality. I have a 6-month correspondence between my mother and Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu, and a photo sent to my mother by Mutlu Işıksu around 02:50 at night. The messages are obscene, but there are also correspondences related to the municipality's internal affairs. He claimed that I was doing this and that I was schizophrenic. The mayor also filed a lawsuit against me with the blackmail allegation. My aunts have known about the incident from the very beginning. They were helping my mother meet with Mutlu Işıksu. My aunt had been hired at the municipality during this process."
DISCIPLINARY PROCESS INITIATED AGAINST IŞIKSU
While the repercussions of the incident continue, the AK Party Central Executive Board has initiated a disciplinary process against Mutlu Işıksu.
DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS
On the other hand, Mayor Mutlu Işıksu denied the allegations. Işıksu claimed that the Saçar family was "blackmailing" him, filed a counterclaim for 50 million TL against the family, and reported them to the prosecutor's office.
