Niğde Provincial Director of Social Security Eray Buz announced that with the latest circular, SGK debts can be restructured in installments of up to 72 months, the annual deferral interest rate has been reduced to 29 percent, and the collateral requirement for debts up to 10 million lira has been removed. Stating that applications must be made by August 31, 2026, Buz announced that the provincial directorate and the Bor center will also be open on weekends to avoid leaving applications to the last days.
Niğde Social Security Provincial Director Eray Buz made statements about the new debt restructuring for citizens and employers who have debts to the Social Security Institution (SGK). Buz announced that within the scope of SGK Circular No. 2026/15, debts can be divided into installments of up to 72 months, the annual deferral interest rate has been reduced to 29 percent, and the final application deadline is August 31, 2026.
INSTALLMENT PERIOD EXTENDED TO 72 MONTHS
Stating that the new regulation provides significant payment facilities for debtors, Buz said that the installment period, which was previously a maximum of 36 months, has been extended to up to 72 months depending on the financial situation of the debtors. Providing information on the details of the regulation, Buz stated that the annual deferral interest rate has been reduced from 39 percent to 29 percent. He also stated that the collateral requirement has been removed for debts up to 10 million liras in order to reduce the financial burden on tradesmen and employers.
Buz said, "With the new circular published by our institution, significant advantages have come into effect for our debtor employers and insured individuals. We have increased the maximum installment period, which was previously applied as 36 months, to up to 72 months depending on the financial situation of our debtors. We have also reduced the annual deferral interest rate from 39 percent to 29 percent. Additionally, we will no longer require collateral for debts up to 10 million liras."
DEADLINE FOR THE FIRST INSTALLMENT IS ALSO AUGUST 31
Drawing attention to the application and payment schedule, Buz emphasized that the first installment payment for SGK premium debts must also be made by August 31, 2026.
Calling on applicants not to leave their applications to the last day, Buz announced that the Niğde Social Security Provincial Directorate and the Bor Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Social Security Center will also provide service on the weekend to prevent citizens and employers from experiencing grievances.
SGK WILL BE OPEN ON THE WEEKEND
Buz stated that due to the approaching final application deadline, the Provincial Directorate and the Bor Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Social Security Center will be kept open on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30.
Noting that it is important not to leave applications to the last days to avoid loss of rights, Buz invited citizens and employers in Niğde who have debts to the SGK to apply to social security centers to benefit from the restructuring opportunities.
