The credit card commission practice on vehicle inspection fees, which millions of vehicle owners in Turkey have long protested, is ending. TURKA, which will take over the services as of August 15, 2027, announced that no additional fees will be charged for card payments. In the new period, artificial intelligence-supported systems and hundreds of new stations will also be put into operation.

In the vehicle inspection system, a radical change is being made in the payment infrastructure and service quality, which drivers have long complained about. The agreement reached as a result of negotiations with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will save millions of vehicle owners from a financial burden.

NO EXTRA COMMISSION FOR CARD PAYMENTS

TURKA, which is preparing to take over vehicle inspection operations in Turkey, gave the first good news of the new era with a statement to the public. The additional commission fee charged to drivers who have paid vehicle inspection fees with bank or credit cards until now is being completely eliminated. With the new application, citizens will not face any additional costs beyond the inspection fee for their card transactions.

NEW ERA BEGINS ON AUGUST 15, 2027

The calendar for this major transformation in vehicle inspection services has also been clarified. The new system will officially start on August 15, 2027. From this date, all inspection services across Turkey will be carried out by TURKA, and the infrastructure will be completely reshaped.

249 NEW GENERATION STATIONS TO BE ESTABLISHED IN 81 PROVINCES

According to the grand plan prepared, the physical infrastructure is also being significantly strengthened. A total of 249 new generation vehicle inspection stations will serve citizens in 81 provinces of Turkey.

In rural areas and points where access to fixed stations is difficult, mobile services will be increased. In addition to the 75 mobile stations specified in the specification, an initial 100 mobile stations will be put into operation, greatly expanding capacity.

THE ERA OF 'ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE' AND 'LASER' IN INSPECTIONS

The new era starting on August 15, 2027 will bring not only payment conveniences but also a technological revolution. Digital technologies will be actively used in the new vehicle inspection system. In this context, artificial intelligence-supported image processing systems, multi-point camera infrastructures, and precision laser scanners will be integrated into inspection processes, ensuring that vehicle safety tests are completed with zero errors and much faster.
