As part of the corruption investigation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), a detention order has been issued for 18 suspects who are alleged to be involved in actions related to bribery, receiving bribes, and tampering with tenders.
The investigation into the suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul following his arrest by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, continues for charges of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "bribery," "corruption," "qualified fraud," "illegally obtaining personal data," and "interfering with a tender."
TEAMS HAVE MOVED TO CAPTURE THE SUSPECTS
As a result of the evidence obtained in the deepened investigation, the prosecutor's office issued detention orders for 18 suspects for the crimes of "giving bribes," "receiving bribes," and "interfering with a tender." Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch have launched an operation to capture the suspects.
