After the cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan expressed strong criticism towards Israel, which has attacked Syria. Stating that Israel is a bloodthirsty terrorist state, Erdoğan said, "Those who dream of opening a corridor between northern and southern Syria will not achieve their goals. We will not consent to the fragmentation of Syria, just as we did not yesterday. Protecting the territorial integrity of our neighbor is our fundamental policy."
President Erdoğan, in a statement made after the Cabinet meeting, strongly reacted to Israel's attacks on Syria. Stating that Israel is a terrorist state, Erdoğan emphasized that urgent measures need to be taken as soon as possible.
President Erdoğan's statements regarding the issue are as follows:
"ISRAEL IS A TERRORIST STATE"
"Israel is doing everything it can to drown our region in blood and chaos. 58 thousand of our brothers were martyred in Gaza. Israel has attacked not only Palestine but also Lebanon and Yemen. There, it bombed civilians as well. Israel used the Druze as an excuse to attack Syria. Israel is a lawless, spoiled, and arrogant terrorist state. The biggest problem in our region is Israel's aggression. This aggression will never be forgotten. If the monster is not stopped as soon as possible, it will not hesitate to set our region and then the world on fire.
"WE DID NOT AND WILL NOT TOLERATE THE PARTITION OF SYRIA"
Protecting the territorial integrity of our neighbor Syria is our fundamental policy. We did not tolerate the partition of Syria, and we will not. Together with our Syrian brothers, we will not allow this. Just like the Kurdish citizens within our borders, those within Syria are also a part of us. It is our desire for the Syrian people to live in peace with all segments. A stable Syria means stability in the region.
