Nabi made a statement to journalists at the Titanic Mardan Palace Sports Complex in Antalya, where the Iranian National Team came for a friendly match against Costa Rica. He thanked the Turkish Football Federation for their hospitality in hosting them for the friendly matches and expressed his satisfaction with FIFA President Gianni Infantino's visit to them in Antalya and the support he provided.

Nabi expressed that Infantino wanted to see the Iranian National Team, explaining that the FIFA President spoke with the players before the match in Antalya, which was a morale boost for the team. He stated that there is no obstacle preventing the Iranian National Team from participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, saying, "We will play in the World Cup. We comply with FIFA rules. Wherever FIFA decides, we will play in the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, or Canada."
