News.com Washington Representative Rona Doğan Sural stated that the U.S. administration has entered a new phase in its operations against Iran. Highlighting the statements of U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Sural announced that the U.S. and Israel have moved to the second phase of attacks against Iran.

"THE NEXT ATTACKS WILL BE HEAVIER"

Sural pointed out Hegseth's announcement that the ballistic missile infrastructure in Iran would be targeted, stating that the ballistic missile launchers, production facilities, and missile depots located in Iran are among the main targets of the operations.

Noting that Hegseth's statements included, "The attacks you saw before were nothing, the next ones will be heavier. We will do everything we can to reach the target," Sural mentioned that there are discussions in Washington about the operations potentially expanding further.

CENTCOM: IRAN'S MISSILE ATTACKS HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASED

Sural reported that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Brad Cooper also made assessments regarding Iran's attack capacity, stating that there has been a significant decrease in the number of ballistic missiles sent by Iran.

According to Cooper's statement, Iran's ballistic missile attacks have decreased by 90%, and drone attacks have decreased by 83%.

COST OF WAR IS 1 BILLION DOLLARS PER DAY

Sural drew attention to the economic aspect of the war, stating that the daily cost of the conflicts for the U.S. is estimated to be around 1 billion dollars.

Indicating that U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to host executives from major defense companies at the White House, Sural mentioned that there have been discussions in the U.S. about the reduction of the weapon inventory due to the war, but Trump has denied these claims.

U.S. TARGET IS IRAN'S MISSILE INVENTORY

Sural pointed out that the primary goal of the U.S. and Israel is to completely eliminate Iran's ballistic missile inventory, expressing that Iran's vast geography and the concealment of weapons in underground facilities raise questions about the duration of the operations.

SUPPORT IN U.S. PUBLIC OPINION IS DECREASING

Sural stated that the war has also sparked debate in U.S. public opinion. He noted that in recent days, gasoline prices in the country have increased by 15 to 20 percent, with an approximately 40 cent increase being considered a significant rise for the U.S.

Emphasizing that the cost of the war and whether U.S. soldiers will be harmed is critical from the perspective of the American public, Sural expressed that recent polls show 53% support for the Iran operations, but this support has begun to decrease as the war drags on. Sural also mentioned that attacks against Iran have found less support in the U.S. compared to the early days.
