A weekend rush was experienced in Kartepe district of Kocaeli, which is only a few hours away from Istanbul. Due to heavy snowfall on the road to the ski resort, hundreds of vehicles were stranded.

Hundreds of people from surrounding cities, especially Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Istanbul, wanted to go to the Kartepe Ski Center.

However, at times, snowfall caused difficult moments for drivers. Some vehicles that wanted to go to the ski center had accidents, and some got stranded on the road, causing traffic to come to a complete halt.
