As cold and rainy weather originating from Siberia continues to affect the country, warnings have come in succession from the Meteorology and AKOM. Following a rainy weekend, snowfall is expected to be effective in Istanbul starting from Monday. It is predicted that air temperatures will continue to remain within winter values, ranging from 5 to 8 degrees.

HOW WILL THE WEATHER BE TODAY?

According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The general weather of our country is expected to be partly and very cloudy, with intermittent rain in the eastern Marmara, Western Black Sea, Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts, as well as in the regions of Tokat, Artvin, Balıkesir, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Çanakkale, and the eastern part of Hakkari. It is expected that the precipitation will be rain in the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts and around Istanbul, and mixed rain and snow in other places receiving precipitation. The wind is expected to blow strongly and in short bursts (40-70 km/h) from the north in the Marmara and Aegean coasts. Frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, are expected in the inner and eastern regions during the night and morning hours. There is a risk of avalanche in the high areas of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is predicted that there will be no significant change in air temperatures, and they will continue to remain below seasonal norms across our country.

WIND: The wind is expected to blow generally from the north and northeast lightly, occasionally at moderate strength, and strongly and in short bursts (40-70 km/h) in the Marmara and Aegean coasts.
